Original Working Condition Wurlitzer Model 700 JukeboxThis is a beautiful, working, complete 1940 wurlitzer model 700 jukebox. It plays 78 rpm records. Teh only new items in it are a cartridge and the logo plastic insert. tI was in a collector's home for over 20 years. This is 99% complete. The entire coin handling system is intact adn working. The amplifier has been re-capped. The tone arm is fitted with a lightweight cartridge and hte volume control box modified to match it. A pushbutton was added to the powre box to allow free-play operation. The changer was disassembled, degreased, a new bushing installed in the abck casting, and re-assembled. All cabinet parts are original. It cycles and plays all sleections perfectly. The metal castings are unbroken and the plating is in reasonably good shape. The lpastics have yellowed but are unbroken. The lower door is especially nice. The grill bars which are typically cracked on thsi model are all in great shape. The cabinet has numerous dings and scratches but hte veneer is tight and nothing is missing. This would be an easy restoration or just enjoy as it is. It works and sounds great! The only parts missing are a cash drawer lock, lower door retaining brackets, and a small cover on the lower back door. Teh photo gallery illustrates the above descriptions.
